Get your MOVE on!

Sitting!

Scooting!

Rocking!
Our little man continues on the path of daily discoveries! Soon our pathetic attempt at baby-proofing will need to jump up to par. So far, the only non-baby things sweet Augie has only shown a real interest in are shoes (must get that from his Grammy and Auntie Tata) and cat toys. Great adventures await (but not for long!).

Read On!

Snuggled up with Daddy

Studying babies of the world
Augie continues to love books! Now, he gets excited and slams the pages with his open palms, in addition to wanting to dig a little deeper in the text . . . with his teeth.

Blue Big Boy Bath

Whoa! Big boy bathing alone!
Up until now, Augustus we have bathed with Augie, but now that he is sitting, we are willing to upgrade to the big boy tub. Which, as Jacob pointed out, may already be too small!

Swing baby, swing!

Wheeeeee!

Whoaaaaa!
We purchased this swing at the annual Teton Science School's fundraising auction and recently installed it on the front porch. Although it seems to make Baby Rio jealous, it's a wonderful way to make the most of nice afternoons (while they last!).

First Strom Wedding

The wedding "party"!

Oogling the beautiful bride!

Grammy is drinking on the job (sorry for the glare off my crutches!)

Special dance with the father of the bride, Great Uncle Gary.
Augie and Mommy made a special trip to Wisconsin, to then drive to Iowa to celebrate the wedding of Cousin Kristy and Tommy. What a beautiful celebration it was. Augie's favorite part was all the dancing, especially the dollar dance with the stunning bride! We. Are. Family.

Baby Got Back!

Jacob is modeling his birthday gift/baby gift from the members of Shepherd of the Mountains. It's our fancy baby backpack! After much research, this is the model we chose, and from the looks of Augie, it must be pretty comfy! We certainly enjoyed our first family hike up past Granite hot springs.

Dead Beat Mom

Here's a quick entry offering my sincerest apologies for not updating the blog this summer. I have MANY excellent excuses, including, but not limited to: extensive travel, "single" parenting, broken foot and excessive baby snuggles. To jump back in, we're going to pick up from the last couple weeks and (maybe!) review summer highlights a little later. Thanks for your patience! (something I continue to learn about!)
